Angela Graves
Vice President of Communications and Outreach
Angela Graves is with Step Forward’s Communications and Outreach, focusing on public relations, media relations, social media, web design, and branding. Her efforts support Step Forward’s presence and connect the community to the organization’s resources and services. Angela’s role emphasizes creating impactful narratives that elevate awareness of Step Forward’s initiatives. She is committed to fostering connections that build stronger ties within the community. Angela’s leadership aims to ensure consistent messaging and brand visibility across various platforms. With a keen understanding of audience engagement, she utilizes innovative strategies to enhance communication effectiveness and drive community participation.
Before joining Step Forward, Angela was a television journalist. She worked as a television news anchor and an investigative consumer reporter, earning five Emmy Awards for her reporting. During her 12-year career, Angela was also honored with a New Mexico Broadcasters Association award and several recognitions from the Society of Professional Journalists in Indiana. Her journalism career was driven by a passion for uncovering important stories and presenting them with accuracy and integrity.
Angela holds a Bachelor's of Science in Journalism from the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Communication from the same institution.
Angela is also actively involved in her community. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center and is a member of the marketing committee for Engage! Cleveland, which works to attract and retain young professionals in the city.
