LABORER/DRIVER - CITY OF WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS

Full-time. Pay: $23.36 per hour. Shift: 7:00a.m.-3:30p.m. Location: 19700 Miles Road Warrensville Heights 44128. Position Summary: Performs a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction work; responsible for maintaining City grounds and landscaping, removing ice and snow from street, parking lots and sidewalks; and refuse collection. Responsibilities: Daily rubbish collection for residential homeowners including special pick-ups; litter control throughout the city; landscaping at all public building and parks; Maintenance of grass and weed control on private property when identified as a nuisance; Street repair and maintenance (striping, asphalt and concrete work); public sewer maintenance (catch basin cleaning); seasonal leaf removal. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of a high school education and preferably 4+ years of experience in public works construction and/or experience as a general contractor. Formal training beyond high school in landscape design, construction and maintenance is desirable; Ability to use personal computer---Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and knowledge in use of proprietary computer systems; Ability to use and operate pick-up truck; tractor; forklift; lawnmower, weed eater; chain saws; blowers; various spray equipment; front-end loader; miscellaneous power tools for turf maintenance, carpentry, painting, and cement finishing work; Must possess a valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or CDL Class B).
